Responsibilities of a Field Sales Intern
As a Field Sales Intern, you’ll play a key role in expanding our network of lab and franchise partners. Your responsibilities will include:
- Market Research & Identification: Conduct in-depth research to identify potential laboratory and diagnostic franchise partners in Navi Mumbai, Bangalore, and surrounding areas. Build a detailed database of qualified prospects with accurate contact information.
- Partnership Roadmap Development: Assist in creating structured onboarding plans for partners, outlining milestones, timelines, and resource needs. Research and document partner requirements for seamless integration.
- Outreach & Relationship Support: Support the partnerships team with initial outreach, scheduling meetings, and preparing presentations and proposals for potential partners.
- Deal Support & Closing Assistance: Gather documentation, align partner needs with our offerings, and track partnership progress through internal systems.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of Haystack Analytics’ diagnostic products and services to articulate their value to partners. Relay partner feedback to internal teams.
- Reporting & Analysis: Track outreach activities, prepare reports on research findings and pipeline status, and analyze data to suggest process improvements.
Qualifications for the Role
We’re looking for candidates who bring enthusiasm and skill to the table. The ideal candidate should have:
- Current enrollment or recent graduation in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Business, or related fields preferred).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an extroverted personality and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Basic understanding of biotechnology or life sciences (preferred but not mandatory).
- Prior experience in client handling, sales, or stakeholder management is a plus.
- Creativity in outreach and persuasion, paired with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proactivity and a solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and email tools.
