Job Description: Senior Associate – Clinical Operations
As a Senior Associate – Clinical Operations, you will play a pivotal role in achieving global clinical data management objectives. You will oversee systems and processes for data capture, management, reporting, storage, and archival, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering high-quality databases. This role involves close collaboration with R&D teams, including clinical development, biostatistics, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance, to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and implement innovative solutions.
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment aligned with company goals.
- Collaborate effectively across Elanco R&D teams and external partners.
- Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and a “Play to Win” mentality.
- Technical Responsibilities:
- Deploy, validate, and implement electronic data capture systems.
- Develop and execute study data management plans for R&D projects.
- Ensure compliance with clinical data collection policies and industry standards.
- Train R&D teams on data collection systems, processes, and best practices.
- Perform quality control (QC) for pivotal studies conducted by junior team members.
- Management Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor a team of data management professionals.
- Oversee LMS training, work assignments, and process execution.
- Monitor team utilization and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with management to develop team goals and report key metrics.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Statistics, or a scientific field related to animal/human health, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in a global network supporting animal/human health R&D.
- Strong knowledge of electronic systems and their application in R&D.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in clinical trials or clinical trial data management.
- Prior experience in a people leadership role.
- Advanced knowledge of electronic data capture systems.
- Experience with regulatory submissions and interactions with regulatory authorities.
