🧬 Key Responsibilities
As a Drug Safety Physician at ICON, your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and assessing Adverse Events (AEs) and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) for seriousness, expectedness, and causality.
- Supporting Drug Information and Product Support Centres with product-related safety queries.
- Analyzing aggregated reports like PSURs, ASRs, and IND Annual Reports.
- Providing medical assessment of safety issues in clinical trials and post-marketing studies.
- Offering regulatory guidance for expedited and periodic reporting of AEs/ADRs.
- Contributing to Clinical Trial Protocols, Product Information, and Core Data Sheets.
- Acting as a pharmacovigilance consultant to clients for safety and regulatory compliance.
- Training and mentoring internal safety staff.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess:
- Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) with an active medical license.
- Board certification or specialization in Internal Medicine, Pharmacology, or related field.
- Experience in Pharmacovigilance or Drug Safety within the pharmaceutical/biotech sector (preferred).
- Strong clinical judgment, medical data interpretation, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional global teams.
