Responsibilities in the Job

As a Technical Trainee in Quality Control, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and compliance of raw materials and packaging samples. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting sampling and analysis of packaging and raw material samples as per the group leader’s directives.
  2. Managing SAP activities, preparing Records of Analysis (ROA), and reviewing analytical records against Standard Testing Protocols (STPs).
  3. Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of documentation before submission or online uploads.
  4. Utilizing, maintaining, and cleaning laboratory instruments and equipment as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  5. Adhering to safety procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following Job Safety Analysis (JSA) protocols.
  6. Organizing and maintaining chemical and solvent stores, volumetric solutions, and reagents.
  7. Preparing out-lab testing samples, timely destruction of test samples as per SOP, and printing Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
  8. Completing assigned training programs and fulfilling any additional tasks assigned by the Group Leader.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.

Experience Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of laboratory experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or related industry.

Skills and Attributes

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in sampling and analysis of raw and packaging materials.
  • Proficiency in analytical instruments and compliance with SOPs.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems for sample tracking and documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP guidelines and accurate documentation practices.
  • Effective handling of chemical and solvent stores, preparation of volumetric solutions, and adherence to lab safety protocols.

Behavioral Skills:

  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in analysis and documentation.
  • Strong communication skills for effective reporting and collaboration with the Group Leader.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address discrepancies and improve lab processes.
  • Ethical compliance with regulatory and SOP requirements.
