Job Overview
Fortrea is hiring a Database Associate II in Mumbai to provide technical support for Electronic Data Capture (EDC), Remote Data Capture (RDC), Oracle Clinical, and Bedside Data Capture (BDC). The role ensures high-quality, timely data delivery while maintaining project integrity.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Study Build & Design: Prepare eCRF specifications, annotated data capture instruments, and screen development.
✔ Edit Check & Validation: Create edit check specifications and write validation/derivation procedures.
✔ Quality Control: Conduct QC checks on study build activities, including screen design and validation checks.
✔ Test Data Creation: Develop test scripts to verify screen design and validation checks.
✔ Client & Team Collaboration: Participate in sponsor meetings, study initiation visits, and training sessions.
✔ Process Improvement: Support SOP refinement, validation standards, and best practices.
✔ Mentorship: Assist in training junior staff on database management and clinical operations.
Qualifications & Experience
✅ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field (or equivalent experience).
✅ Experience: Minimum 1 year in clinical research with database maintenance/programming.
✅ Preferred Skills:
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Experience with EDC/Oracle Clinical databases.
- Familiarity with data management processes.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Office-based role in Mumbai.
- Prolonged computer use (up to 8 hours/day).
- Overtime/weekend work may be required.
- Occasional travel for meetings or training.
