Clarivate is hiring an Associate STEM Content Analyst for their Pharma Chemistry team in Hyderabad. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in chemistry or pharmacy who are interested in content analysis and patent indexing.
About the Role
As an Associate STEM Content Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Coding and indexing chemical compounds in patents in alignment with Derwent Innovation Product policies and conventions.
- Staying updated with the latest trends in pharma and chemistry and enhancing your skills in these areas.
- Upskilling in pharma, chemistry, intellectual property, and data analysis.
- Collaborating actively with your team and contributing to the department’s success.
Responsibilities
- Perform chemical compound indexing for patents, ensuring accuracy in line with Derwent Innovation standards.
- Research and analyze patents, including drawing chemical structures, working with Markush, and applying IUPAC nomenclature.
- Keep abreast of developments in pharma/chemistry and intellectual property.
- Play a key role in team discussions, contributing insights on the latest pharma/chemistry trends.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Background: A B. Pharm, M. Pharm, or M.Sc. Chemistry degree.
- Experience: Either a fresher or 1-2 years of experience in pharma/chemistry content editing (Note: This is not related to research and development).
- Skills: Proficiency in content writing, analysis, and computer skills (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Language Skills: Basic proficiency in a foreign language (e.g., German, French, Spanish).
- Additional Experience: Familiarity with patent analysis, chemical structure drawing, Markush structures, IUPAC nomenclature, and complex chemical reactions.
- Knowledge: Understanding of drugs and their human use.
Working Hours
- The working hours are from 9 AM to 6 PM (IST).
