Job Purpose
The Junior Officer – Production will monitor and execute manufacturing activities during assigned shifts while maintaining cGMP compliance, safety standards, documentation integrity, and production efficiency to achieve operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
• Execute assigned production activities as per manufacturing plans.
• Achieve shift-wise production targets through effective resource utilization.
• Optimize consumable usage and reduce operational costs.
• Improve equipment utilization and minimize downtime.
cGMP & Compliance
• Ensure manufacturing operations comply with GMP and safety requirements.
• Maintain equipment, facilities, and production blocks according to regulatory standards.
• Support validation, qualification, and calibration activities.
• Review and update production documents as per GMP requirements.
Documentation & Systems
• Maintain Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) accurately.
• Perform timely online documentation and data entry.
• Operate systems such as SAP, CipDox, and QMS.
• Record deviations and maintain documentation integrity.
Safety Management
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety procedures.
• Promote the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate with the HSE team for safety requirements.
• Support accident-free manufacturing operations.
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Collaborate with QA, QC, Engineering, Utility, Warehouse, and Safety teams.
• Coordinate with technical support and technology transfer teams for product-related activities.
• Support maintenance contractors and equipment vendors during troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
• Strong understanding of cGMP requirements
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with production equipment operations
• Understanding of documentation practices and regulatory compliance
Required Experience
• 3–4 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Formulation Production
• Experience in shift operations and production management preferred
