Job Responsibilities

Biocon Biologics is hiring for multiple roles across Engineering, Instrumentation & Automation, and Manufacturing. Below are the key responsibilities for each category:

Engineering & Maintenance

  • Operate and maintain equipment like centrifuges, fermentors, isolators, lyophilizers, and vial cartridge/PFS filling systems.
  • Manage utilities and electrical maintenance to ensure seamless operations.
  • Implement Engineering QMS (Quality Management System) for compliance and efficiency.

Instrumentation & Automation

  • Handle RPHPLC columns, centrifuges, tank automation, and autoclaves.
  • Develop and maintain PLC, SCADA, HMI, and BMS/EMS-HVAC systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Engineering QMS standards.

Manufacturing

  • Execute upstream and downstream processes for biosimilars manufacturing.
  • Support process engineering for monoclonal antibodies (mAbs).
  • Perform DP Fill Finish tasks, including medical device packaging, visual inspection, track & trace, blister packaging, labeling, and cartonator operations.
  • Conduct aseptic manufacturing using isolators, autoclaves, lyophilizers, and filling/sealing equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to QMS activities and equipment qualification standards.

Required Qualifications

To qualify for these roles, candidates must meet the following educational and experience criteria:

  • Educational Qualifications:
    • MPharm, BPharm, MSc in Chemistry, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences.
    • BSc in relevant fields.
    • B.E, BTech, M.E, MTech, or Diploma in Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Experience: 3 to 16 years in pharmaceutical, biologics, or related industries.
  • Skills: Proficiency in biologics manufacturing, automation (PLC/SCADA/HMI), aseptic processes, or equipment maintenance.
