Job Role: Medical Science Liaison
Bayer is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join its pharmaceuticals division in Kolkata, India. The MSL will act as a key scientific expert, fostering engagement with the medical community through strategic partnerships and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities
- Scientific Exchange & Education: Engage with Thought Leaders (TLs) to disseminate and clarify scientific data, clinical study protocols, abstracts, and professional literature.
- Thought Leader Engagement: Identify, profile, and strategize engagements with TLs to align with the integrated brand plan and medical strategy.
- Coordination of Scientific Events: Plan and organize advisory boards, training sessions, and educational events for medical professionals.
- Reporting & Activity Tracking: Document interactions with TLs and track activities to align with Performance Management Plan (PMP) objectives.
- Support for Evidence Generation: Facilitate Investigator-Initiated Research (IIR), Real-World Evidence (RWE), and post-marketing studies from ideation to publication.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Provide scientific support to market access, clinical research, and commercial teams through training and presentations.
- Business Travel: The role requires travel within India for scientific and medical engagements.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacology, Dental Sciences, or Medicine.
- Advanced degrees (MD, MDS, PhD) are preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MSL or in medical affairs, drug information, or clinical research.
- Knowledge of Retinal Disorders and related pharmaceutical products is desirable.
