Key Responsibilities in the Job
As a Pharmacovigilance (PV) Intake Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of patients and Baxter’s products. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Adverse Event Management:
- Collect, document, and process adverse event (AE) reports from various sources, adhering to local legislation and Baxter’s internal procedures.
- Perform AE case triage, including assessing validity, checking duplicates, and forwarding reports to appropriate partners.
- Surveillance and Escalation:
- Conduct surveillance for new safety information and escalate findings following established procedures.
- Case Processing and Documentation:
- Perform case intake within the Pharmacovigilance Safety System (PSS).
- Respond to queries raised by the global case processing team.
- Ensure source documents are redacted appropriately and captured in the PSS.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Perform local quality checks and health authority case downloads where required.
- Additional Support:
- Participate in other activities as needed to support the Safety Operations team.
Qualifications
To excel in the role of Intake Specialist – PV, candidates must meet the following educational and professional qualifications:
- A degree in sciences, pharmacy, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in pharmacovigilance or related safety operations roles.
