🧩 Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Technical Support Engineer, you will:

- Provide technical support for genomic data, NGS pipelines, and bioinformatics tools.
- Troubleshoot software and system issues in Linux and scripting environments.
- Log and track customer interactions using ticketing systems.
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Test and validate new features for the AUGMET genomics platform.
- Create and update knowledge base articles and FAQs.
- Stay updated on product releases and genomics industry trends.
- Support customers with professionalism and clear communication.
- Participate in after-hours or on-call rotations as needed.
🎓 Qualifications & Technical Skills
Required:
- Master’s or B.Tech in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field.
- 0–2 years of experience (freshers welcome).
- Strong command of Linux (CLI, file management, scripting).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of bioinformatics workflows and software support.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with NGS file formats (FASTQ, BAM/SAM, VCF) and bioinformatics databases.
- Bash scripting and Python skills.
- Experience using JIRA or other ticketing systems.
- Strong understanding of customer support processes.
