Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct multi-step organic synthesis and develop scalable processes for fine chemicals and intermediates.
- Perform literature searches, experimental planning, and execution of reactions under safe lab conditions.
- Handle purification techniques (chromatography, distillation, crystallization) and characterization using NMR, HPLC, GC-MS, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process improvement and troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate lab records, safety protocols, and compliance with quality standards.
- For senior roles: Lead small projects, mentor junior chemists, and contribute to innovation in synthetic methodologies.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Educational Qualification: B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in Chemistry (Organic Chemistry preferred).
- Strong foundation in synthetic organic chemistry.
- Hands-on experience in lab-scale synthesis and relevant analytical tools.
- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
