Key Responsibilities – IPDRG Trainee
- Review inpatient medical records for accurate DRG assignment
- Apply ICD coding guidelines in compliance with regulatory standards
- Analyze clinical documentation to ensure coding accuracy
- Identify and correct errors impacting reimbursement and compliance
- Support revenue cycle management through accurate data abstraction
- Maintain quality standards in inpatient medical coding processes
- Collaborate with internal teams during audits and reviews
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medical Records, or health-related disciplines
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Ability to learn and apply ICD-10 coding and DRG concepts
- Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Basic knowledge of healthcare operations or RCM is an added advantage
