Hikal Limited, a leading Indian CDMO and API manufacturer, is actively hiring an experienced Sr Manager / AGM – API Sales & Business Development Latin America for its corporate office in IJP Nagar, Bangalore. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving API business growth across Central and South America. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) in Latin American markets
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts, end customers, trading partners, and distributors
- Increase wallet share of existing API products and introduce new molecules
- Conduct in-depth country-wise market analysis (Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Chile, etc.) including competitors and regulatory landscape
- Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and GMP teams to ensure compliance for LATAM registrations
- Achieve annual sales targets and expand Hikal’s footprint in the region
- Represent Hikal in international conferences and customer audits in Latin America
Qualifications & Experience Required
- B.Sc/M.Sc/B.Pharm; full-time MBA preferred
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical API sales and business development
- Proven track record of handling Central & Latin America markets with extensive travel history in the region
- Strong understanding of GMP, DMF filings, and regulatory requirements (ANVISA, COFEPRIS, INVIMA, etc.) for API exports
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a significant advantage
