🔍 Job Responsibilities
As a Clinical Data Abstractor, you will:
- Access electronic medical record systems and extract data accurately
- Enter patient-specific information into designated electronic data platforms
- Review project documents and understand project objectives
- Learn new workflows and abstraction standards for each project
- Share medical and procedural knowledge with fellow team members
- Participate and contribute agenda points for periodic Abstractor meetings
- Respond promptly to queries from Lead Data Abstractors or project managers
- Understand inclusion/exclusion criteria, adverse events, hospitalizations, and medication data
- Interpret diagnostic, pathology, lab, and specialty reports for extraction
- Review medical records for eligibility during project onboarding
- Perform other duties related to RWE data abstraction as assigned
📌 Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree: Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biotechnology, or related fields
- 0–1 year of experience (Freshers eligible)
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
- Ability to interpret clinical documents and healthcare data
- Good knowledge of AE reporting, hospitalization details, diagnostics
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (added advantage)
