Putnam Associates, a global life sciences consulting firm, is inviting applications for the Pharmacovigilance Specialist position in Gurugram, India. As part of Putnamโ€™s Consulting Operations and Support Team, youโ€™ll contribute to improving pharmacovigilance and compliance processes, supporting audits, and ensuring adherence to client safety management plans.


Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacovigilance Specialist, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the PV Manager in managing and processing adverse event (AE) data according to established timelines and quality standards.
  • Assisting with pre-audit preparations and data organization.
  • Monitoring implementation of client PV agreements and Safety Management Plans (SMPs).
  • Providing training for consulting teams on new or updated PV processes.
  • Overseeing AE/SAE reconciliation and other quality requirements.
  • Tracking and coordinating compliance training across consulting teams.
  • Offering guidance for safety documentation and client PV standards.
  • Training third-party vendors on client pharmacovigilance compliance.
  • Managing technical queries related to PV client platforms.
  • Assisting in process creation and SOP revision for PV compliance.
  • Supporting onboarding and ongoing training of new hires in PV procedures.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate compliance risks.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates should have:

  • 2โ€“5 years of relevant experience in pharmacovigilance or compliance.
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree (Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or Social Sciences preferred).
  • Strong command of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a data-driven analytical mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
