As a Senior Pharmacovigilance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and quality of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) and device vigilance activities processed by vendors. You’ll collaborate across global teams to enhance patient safety and maintain regulatory compliance.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and review case processing work performed by vendors for quality and compliance.
- Conduct quality checks on AE/SAE and device event reports.
- Evaluate case assessments, clarify medical queries, and ensure narrative accuracy.
- Update and maintain vendor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Review and analyze weekly/monthly quality metrics to identify training needs.
- Support audit readiness, CAPA implementation, and deviation handling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams – including Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Affairs, and Quality.
- Ensure adherence to global pharmacovigilance and materiovigilance regulations.
🎓 Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s/Doctorate in Pharmacy, Nursing, or related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or materiovigilance (case processing, device event review).
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of global safety regulations (ICH, GVP, FDA, EMA).
- Experience with safety databases such as LSMV and CatsWeb.
- Strong understanding of MedDRA terminology and medical documentation.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize workflows effectively.
