Job Role: Certified Medical Coder (HCC Coding)
Optum is hiring Freshers & Experienced (0-6 years) Certified Medical Coders for HCC (Hierarchical Condition Categories) Coding Projects.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Evaluate medical records for chronic condition coding
✔ Perform HCC validation using ICD-10-CM codes
✔ Ensure compliance with CMS Risk Adjustment Guidelines
✔ Maintain coding accuracy & quality as per client SLA
✔ Meet daily production & accuracy targets
✔ Assist in Medicare & Medicaid Risk Adjustment projects
Eligibility Criteria
Mandatory Requirements:
✅ AAPC/AHIMA Certification (CRC, CPC, CIC, COC, CCS)
✅ 0-6 years of medical coding experience
✅ Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Terminology
✅ Graduates in Life Sciences/Paramedical/Medical fields preferred
Preferred Skills:
✔ Experience in HCC/Risk Adjustment Coding
✔ Familiarity with CMS guidelines
✔ Analytical & problem-solving skills
