GITAM Deemed University is hiring a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Project Assistant for a research project titled:
“Evaluation of the Role of Polyamines (Spermidine & Spermine) in Enhancing Fecundity and Egg Production of Muga (Antheraea assamensis) and Eri (Samia ricini) Silkworms.”
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct experiments to standardize effective doses of polyamines for silkworm egg production.
- Assist in laboratory and field research related to sericulture.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data.
- Maintain research documentation and contribute to research publications.
- Collaborate with the research team to achieve project objectives.
Eligibility Criteria:
For Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
- M.Sc. in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related fields) with First Class.
- Maximum Age: 28 years (relaxation as per government norms).
- Prior research experience in entomology, molecular biology, or biochemistry is preferred.
For Project Assistant:
- B.Sc. (Hons) / M.Sc. in Life Sciences with a strong academic record.
- Candidates with hands-on lab experience will be given preference.
Skills Required:
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of biochemical assays, microscopy, and data analysis.
- Ability to work in a team and meet project deadlines.
