Job Description: Quality Control (QC) Officer

As a Quality Control (QC) Officer at BVG Life Sciences Limited, you will be a critical member of our quality assurance team, responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality throughout the manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures: You will play a key role in establishing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality control procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GMP, ISO).
  • Conducting quality checks: Performing thorough inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods to ensure they meet predetermined quality specifications. This includes utilizing various analytical techniques and equipment.
  • Documenting and reporting: Meticulously documenting all quality control activities, tests performed, and results obtained. Preparing clear and concise reports summarizing findings and highlighting any deviations from established standards.
  • Identifying and resolving quality issues: Proactively identifying and investigating quality issues, proposing and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives: Actively participating in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing quality management systems and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Working collaboratively with other departments (e.g., production, R&D) to ensure effective communication and coordination of quality control activities.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace: Adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Pharmacy, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology).
  • Experience: 0-3 years of experience in a quality control role within the pharmaceutical or related industry is preferred, but not mandatory for entry-level candidates. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in various analytical techniques (e.g., titrations, spectrophotometry, chromatography) is a plus. Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and relevant software is advantageous.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and record-keeping skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
