The Trainee – Quality (APQR) role at Apotex in Mumbai, Maharashtra, involves compiling and managing Annual Product Quality Reviews (APQRs) in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The trainee will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and accurately summarizing data to ensure the quality and compliance of products.

Key Responsibilities

As a Trainee in Quality – APQR, your primary tasks will include:

  1. Compilation of APQRs:
    • Collecting and documenting data as per SOPs, including manufacturing processes, batch releases, ingredient lists, test methods, validation procedures, deviations, and more.
    • Analyzing trends in analytical data using systems like LIMS.
  2. Report Preparation and Submission:
    • Ensuring APQRs are completed accurately and submitted on time for review.
    • Addressing queries and feedback from project leaders and QA managers.
  3. Compliance and Coordination:
    • Working with project leaders to meet project deadlines.
    • Maintaining compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and regulatory standards.
  4. Documentation and SOP Support:
    • Assisting in the preparation, review, and updating of SOPs.
    • Ensuring proper documentation and data transactions.
  5. Safety and Teamwork:
    • Working collaboratively within teams to ensure the quality and safety of all operations.
    • Adhering to corporate values such as courage, collaboration, and perseverance.

Required Qualifications

Candidates applying for the Trainee – Quality (APQR) role must meet the following qualifications:

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Master of Science (M.Sc.), or Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm).
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 1-2 years in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in Quality Assurance.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
    • Strong knowledge of cGMP and related regulatory requirements.
    • Good academic record starting from 10th grade.
    • Ability to work independently and within teams.
    • Proficiency in maintaining tracking systems for APQR compilation and review.
