With ZignaAI’s expansion into the Payment Integrity Suite, you’ll play a key role in ensuring algorithmic outputs match clinical reality, enabling faster, more accurate healthcare decisions for patients.
Responsibilities
As a Medical Data Analyst I, your key duties will include:
- Data Validation & Verification: Conduct line-by-line reviews of algorithm-generated CSV output sheets against the original patient records from EMR systems.
- Accuracy Assessment: Verify extraction of vital signs and laboratory test data—ensuring correct Test Names, Results/Values, Units, and Date/Time stamps.
- Error Identification & Documentation: Flag and log discrepancies where the algorithm failed or mis-extracted data. Update the output sheet’s Status (Correct/Incorrect) and Sub Status with detailed error categories.
- Corrective Entries: For any identified issue, fill in the Expected Test Name, Expected Test Value, Expected Unit of Measurement and Expected Date/Time columns in the output sheet.
- Completeness Reporting: Identify any missing clinical data present in the EMR but omitted by the algorithm, and report accordingly.
- Quality Assurance Contribution: Work closely with the Data Science Team—provide high-quality, actionable feedback to refine algorithm logic and extraction workflows.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate clearly (written & oral) across global and in-person teams—supporting shared goals and delivering insights.
Qualifications
Required
- Proven background or strong familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and clinical data: lab reports, vital signs, procedures, treatments.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy-driven mindset and strong analytical / critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with diverse talent globally and in-office.
- Education: One of the following credentials required: BSc Nursing, B.Pharm, Food & Nutrition, BSc, MSc (Life Sciences), MLT.
- Solid understanding of medical terminology, human anatomy & physiology.
- Ability (or willingness) to reliably commute to / relocate for the Hyderabad (Nacharam) in-office role.
Preferred
- Some prior experience in clinical data extraction, verification or health-tech QA.
- Comfortable working in a team that merges healthcare, data science and technology.
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to engage in continuous improvement of algorithms.
