🔬 Key Responsibilities – Scientific Writer at WNS
Literature Review & Evidence Synthesis
- Conduct systematic and targeted literature reviews using databases such as PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library.
- Develop evidence maps, summaries, and insights from clinical and scientific data.
- Stay updated with treatment guidelines, regulatory updates, and industry trends in pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare sectors.
Medical & Scientific Content Development
- Write, edit, and review high-quality scientific and medical content across formats, including:
- Literature reviews
- Peer-reviewed manuscripts
- Abstracts, posters, and slide decks
- Treatment guideline summaries
- White papers and publication summaries
- Ensure compliance with ICMJE, CONSORT, and internal SOPs.
Quality Review & Compliance
- Perform content verification, reference checking, and plagiarism screening.
- Maintain consistency with client templates, branding, and regulatory standards.
- Ensure clarity, accuracy, and scientific rigor in all deliverables.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Manage multiple projects with strict timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with medical writers, graphic designers, and global clients.
- Support ad-hoc client requests and contribute to long-term engagements.
Mentorship & Professional Development
- Mentor junior team members.
- Actively participate in knowledge-sharing, training, and continuous learning initiatives.
🎓 Qualifications & Skills Required
✅ Must Have
- Education: MBBS / BDS / PhD / M.Pharm or equivalent life sciences qualification
- Proven experience in scientific writing and literature analysis
- Strong understanding of clinical study designs, SLRs, TLRs, and meta-analyses
- Excellent command of medical, scientific, and statistical terminology
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and online research tools
- Exceptional written communication, attention to detail, and time management skills
➕ Good to Have
- Exposure to US/EU regulatory documentation
- Experience with EndNote, Zotero, Mendeley
- Familiarity with SPSS, RevMan, GraphPad Prism, R, or SAS
- Knowledge of Veeva Vault, PubPro, DataVision, or similar platforms
