๐งฌ Key Responsibilities
As a Bioinformatician/Bioinformatics Engineer, you will:
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable NGS pipelines.
- Ensure reproducibility using Docker/Singularity containers.
- Integrate pipelines into internal software platforms.
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance for large genomic datasets.
- Document workflows and maintain version control.
๐ Qualifications
Education
- Masterโs in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience
- 1โ2 years of hands-on bioinformatics/NGS pipeline development experience.
Mandatory Skills
- Workflow managers (Nextflow preferred).
- Containerization tools: Docker, Singularity.
- Proficiency in Python, R, and Bash scripting.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix & HPC environments.
- Familiarity with NGS data formats: FASTQ, BAM/CRAM, VCF.
- Tools: GATK, BWA, Samtools, STAR.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Knowledge of machine learning/AI in genomics.
