Available Positions at USV Biologics Plant
USV is hiring for the following roles in their Navi Mumbai facility:
Production Team – Upstream:
- Executive / Senior Executive / Assistant Manager (2 Positions)
- Officer / Senior Officer (1 Position)
Production Team – Downstream:
- Executive / Senior Executive / Assistant Manager (2 Positions)
- Officer / Senior Officer (1 Position)
These roles involve hands-on work in mammalian cell culture (upstream) or purification processes (downstream) for biologics drug substance manufacturing.
Roles and Responsibilities
As part of the Production team at USV’s Biologics Plant, your key duties will include:
- Executing manufacturing operations in compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
- Operating and monitoring bioreactors, chromatography systems, filtration units, and other equipment.
- Performing upstream processes such as cell culture inoculation, fermentation, harvest, or downstream processes like purification, viral inactivation, and ultrafiltration.
- Batch record documentation, deviation handling, and CAPA implementation.
- Ensuring cleanroom protocols, equipment cleaning, and sterilization.
- Shift operations, including troubleshooting process issues and supporting scale-up activities.
- Collaborating with QA, QC, and engineering teams for smooth production.
These responsibilities ensure high-yield, high-quality biologics production while maintaining safety and compliance.
Required Qualifications and Experience
To succeed in these roles, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- B.Tech / M.Tech / M.Sc in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or related fields.
- 2-12 years of relevant experience in biologics manufacturing (mammalian cell culture or protein purification).
- Hands-on experience in upstream (bioreactors, media preparation) or downstream (chromatography, TFF/UFDF) processes.
- Knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements (USFDA, EMA preferred), and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in shifts.
- Prior experience in biosimilars or monoclonal antibodies is an advantage.
Freshers with strong academic backgrounds may be considered for junior roles.
