📌 Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify Dangerous Goods Declarations (DGD) and shipping documents.
• Ensure proper classification, labeling, packaging, and placarding as per IMDG Code.
• Approve or reject DG bookings based on compliance and safety standards.
• Ensure adherence to IMDG, SOLAS, Flag State, and Port State regulations.
• Perform risk assessments for high-risk cargo such as explosives, corrosives, and toxic substances.
• Coordinate with shippers, freight forwarders, terminals, and internal teams.
• Maintain DG approval records in company systems.
• Support incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Stay updated on DG regulatory changes and best practices.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

• Education:
  • B.Sc. Chemistry OR
  • M.Sc. Chemistry
• Strong understanding of chemical properties and safety concepts.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn IMDG Code and maritime regulations.
