๐ฌ Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Oncology Pharmacy Operations
- Perform sterile compounding of anti-cancer drugs
- Monitor patients undergoing chemotherapy (day-care & inpatient)
- Ensure adherence to chemotherapy protocols and safety guidelines
- Provide clinical medication education to nursing staff
Pharmacovigilance & Drug Safety
- Detect, assess, and report Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs)
- Prepare reports on medication errors and pharmacovigilance signals
- Maintain drug and poison information services
Clinical Data & Review
- Conduct drug utilization review (DUR) and identify discrepancies
- Review patient records and enter drug orders via eMAR systems
- Support pharmacokinetic monitoring and antibiotic stewardship programs
Quality & Compliance (NABH)
- Maintain hospital pharmacy operations as per NABH standards
- Prepare and submit monthly NABH quality indicator reports
- Conduct audits:
- Crash carts
- Medication carts
- Narcotic inventory
Clinical Governance & Reporting
- Prepare Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee agendas and minutes
- Analyze antibiotic utilization data for infection control meetings
- Participate in multidisciplinary clinical discussions
๐ฏ Required Skills
Must-Have Skills
- Basic exposure to clinical trials or research internships
- Knowledge of pharmacovigilance databases and ADR reporting
- Familiarity with medical coding (MedDRA basics preferred)
- Basic understanding of SAS, R, or statistical tools
Good-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of biostatistics concepts
- Awareness of regulatory bodies (ICH, CDSCO, USFDA)
- Certification in ICH-GCP or Clinical Research
