Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance:
- Attend EHS training sessions and strictly follow workplace safety protocols.
- Maintain lab safety standards, including proper handling of chemicals and waste disposal.
- Synthetic Chemistry Operations:
- Perform organic synthesis, reaction workups, and compound purification using techniques like column chromatography, crystallization, and preparative TLC.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration and cleanliness.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Record experimental observations, results, and resource usage in lab/e-notebooks.
- Update supervisors on synthesis progress and prepare samples for analysis/shipment.
- Chemical & Equipment Safety:
- Follow MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) guidelines for chemical handling.
- Report equipment malfunctions immediately and adhere to emergency response protocols.
