Symbio Generics India Pvt Ltd, a leading peptide-focused CDMO in India, is actively hiring an experienced Senior Executive – Peptide Synthesis & Purification for its state-of-the-art R&D facility in Jigani, Bangalore. If you have 4-6 years of hands-on experience in solid-phase and liquid-phase peptide synthesis along with expertise in preparative HPLC purification, this is your opportunity to join a fast-growing organization specializing in complex peptide molecules.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform synthesis of peptide molecules using solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) and liquid phase peptide synthesis (LPPS) methods
- Monitor peptide reactions using Kaiser test, Chloranil test, Elman’s test, and other qualitative assays
- Operate and maintain key equipment including Preparative HPLC with DAC column, Flash chromatography, Rotary evaporator, Nano-filtration system, and Lyophilizer
- Conduct routine analytical HPLC and support method development for preparative purification
- Characterize peptides using IR, Mass spectrometry, and NMR interpretation
- Ensure documentation as per GLP standards and contribute to scale-up activities
Qualifications & Experience Required
- M.Sc in Organic Chemistry (specialization in peptide chemistry preferred)
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in peptide synthesis and purification in a CRO/CDMO/pharmaceutical R&D setup
- Strong expertise in solid phase and solution phase peptide synthesis
- Hands-on experience with preparative HPLC purification, nanofiltration, and lyophilization
- Proficient in analytical techniques (HPLC, LCMS, NMR, IR) for peptide characterization
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced R&D environment
