Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on work in mammalian and microbial cell culture along with molecular biology techniques
- Conduct therapeutic protein expression and purification using E. coli and yeast systems
- Execute molecular biology techniques such as cloning, primer designing, and vector design
- Develop and characterize expression vectors and related systems
- Generate CHO-based stable monoclonal cell lines for therapeutic protein production
- Carry out single-cell cloning and fed-batch shake flask studies
- Prepare and manage cell banks (RCB, MCB, WCB, EPCB) following ICH guidelines
- Collaborate with CROs and CDMOs for technology transfer
- Design experiments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure SOP compliance
- Maintain proper documentation in laboratory notebooks (LNB) and electronic lab notebooks (ELN)
Required Qualifications
- M.Sc / M.Tech / PhD in Biotechnology or Biochemistry
- 2–7 years of relevant experience in molecular biology and mammalian cell culture
- Strong understanding of biologics and protein expression systems
- Experience in cell line development and molecular cloning
