Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- DSP: PhD/Masters in Biochemistry or Biotechnology
- UPS: PhD/Masters in Biochemistry or Biotechnology
Experience Required
- DSP: 8-12 years
- UPS: 10-15 years
Key Responsibilities
R&D Biotechnology – DSP
- Establish and Lead: Develop the downstream group with expertise in processes and operations.
- Design & Planning: Oversee the design, planning, operation, and monitoring of the downstream group for development activities and GMP production.
- Expertise in Downstream Process Development: Focus on large molecules, recombinant proteins, and monoclonal antibodies.
R&D Biotechnology – UPS
- Planning of Lab Scale Studies: Develop, optimize, and characterize upstream processes.
- Global Market Exposure: Understand market requirements related to biosimilars.
- Project Participation: Assist in project planning, including timelines and resources for both internal and CDMO projects.
- GMP Manufacturing Support: Provide assistance during scale-up, technology transfer, and process investigations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for optimization in both technical and economic aspects.
- Collaboration: Work with DSP, analytical, project management, QA/QC, regulatory, IP, and external CDMO clients to achieve goals.
- Set Up Process Development Lab: Ensure adherence to good laboratory practices and organizational safety standards.
- CMC Support: Provide support for global biotech product filing.
