About the TKA Project
The TKA Project is a 6-week clinical study comparing standard care with protein supplementation (Group 1) versus standard care alone (Group 2). Participants are randomized at a 1:1 ratio, with protein supplementation starting one week before surgery. The study includes five key visits: screening, baseline/randomization, two follow-ups, and a final visit. As a Study Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring protocol compliance, participant well-being, and data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Principal Investigator in the informed consent process, educating participants on procedures, risks, benefits, and compensation.
- Coordinate subject enrollment, assign screening codes, and follow recruitment procedures per GCP and Ethics Committee guidelines.
- Manage follow-up communications, including telephonic and onsite visits, per the study’s Schedule of Assessments.
- Oversee laboratory procedures, including sample collection, processing, packaging, and shipping as per protocol.
- Collect, compile, and transcribe source data (e.g., medical charts, lab reports, food/physical activity diaries) into Case Report Forms (CRFs).
- Ensure data accuracy, resolve queries, and report inconsistencies or adverse events (AEs/SAEs) to relevant authorities.
- Maintain and update the Site Master File (SMF), reorder study supplies, and manage subject payments.
- Coordinate site visits (e.g., Site Initiation, Routine Monitoring) and assist with audits, inspections, and study closeout activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Preferably a life science graduate (e.g., B.Sc. in Biology, Biotechnology, or related fields).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical research or study coordination.
- Languages: Fluency in English, Hindi, and Kannada (read, write, speak).
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
- Location: Bangalore, Karnataka (onsite role).
