Production Assistant/Associate This role involves hands-on operations in biomanufacturing, including monitoring unit operations at various scales, media preparation, sterilization, sampling, and documentation in compliance with GMP standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and control of unit operations such as fermentation, cell separation, harvest, concentration, separation, and drying at different scales.
- Performing media preparation, cleaning, sterilization, calibrations, and batch preparations.
- Supporting sampling, sample processing, biochemical assays, product/substrate profile analysis, and growth analysis.
- Conducting scale-down experiments, inoculum preparation, and inoculation of fermenters.
- Documentation of batch manufacturing records, deviations, and investigation reports.
- Following GMP procedures and supporting proactive process monitoring.
- Equipment maintenance and independent work with minimal supervision.
- Shift work on weekly rotation basis.
Research Assistant/Associate This position emphasizes laboratory-based experimentation to optimize bioprocesses, from bench-scale to scaled-up bioreactors, with a focus on fermentation and downstream processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing a wide range of bench-top bioprocess experiments using shake flasks, bench-scale, and scaled-up bioreactors to optimize fermentation and achieve higher bioproductivity.
- Conducting bioprocessing related to harvest, concentration, separation, drying, etc.
- Biochemical quantification assays, sample collection, process monitoring, data collection, and recording.
- Media preparation, cleaning, sterilization, calibrations, and batch profile analysis.
- Equipment maintenance and independent research with minimal supervision.
- Maintaining comprehensive data records, contributing to experimental design, data analysis, technical reports, and documentation.
- Shift work on weekly rotation basis.
Required Qualifications for Both Positions:
- Graduate or Post-Graduate in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 0 to 3 years of experience.
- Experience in Bio-Industrial, Pharma, Dairy, Chemical, Fermentation Industry, or any Life Sciences industry is an added advantage.
