Job Description
Parexel is seeking a Statistical Programmer II specializing in Real-World Data (RWD) and Real-World Evidence (RWE). This role involves programming and analyzing large-scale observational datasets, including healthcare claims, EHR (Electronic Health Records), and registry data.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Develop, validate, and maintain SAS and R programs for RWD analyses (e.g., treatment patterns, cost/utilization, time-to-event studies)
✔ Perform double programming and QC checks following internal SOPs and regulatory standards
✔ Collaborate with statisticians and data scientists to define specifications and deliverables
✔ Work with Snowflake, UNIX/Linux, and AWS-based platforms
✔ Contribute to internal R packages, Shiny apps, and Quarto documentation
✔ Ensure compliance with data privacy and regulatory requirements (e.g., ICH-GCP, 21 CFR Part 11)
✔ Mentor junior programmers and participate in onboarding
Skills & Qualifications:
✅ 3+ years of statistical programming experience (pharma/healthcare preferred)
✅ Strong SAS proficiency (R knowledge is a plus)
✅ Experience with real-world datasets (Optum, MarketScan, Flatiron, CPRD, etc.)
✅ Familiarity with OMOP/OHDSI standards is desirable
✅ Knowledge of Snowflake, UNIX/Linux, Git version control
✅ Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
✅ Bachelor’s/Master’s in Statistics, Computer Science, or Epidemiology
