Key Responsibilities โ Senior Drug Safety Physician
As a Senior Drug Safety Physician at Indegene, you will be responsible for:

- Validating safety cases by identifying minimum criteria for case creation
- Performing duplicate searches to determine initial or follow-up cases
- Managing end-to-end ICSR case processing in compliance with global regulatory requirements
- Identifying serious adverse events and special scenarios including:
- Pregnancy and lactation cases
- Lack of efficacy
- Exposure during pregnancy
- Product quality complaint (PQC) only cases
- Reviewing and attaching relevant source documents and follow-up information
- Facilitating medical follow-ups for missing, inconsistent, or unclear safety data
- Performing medical coding using standardized dictionaries such as MedDRA
- Coding suspect, co-suspect, and concomitant products per regulatory and client conventions
- Drafting high-quality clinical narratives aligned with global pharmacovigilance standards
Qualifications & Skills Required
Must Have:
- Strong understanding of drug safety and pharmacovigilance case-handling processes
- Knowledge of global regulatory requirements for ICSR reporting
- Excellent grasp of medical terminology and therapeutic areas
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in MedDRA coding and safety databases
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Good to Have:
- Prior experience with global clients and multi-country submissions
- Exposure to technology-enabled pharmacovigilance platforms
- Experience mentoring or reviewing safety cases
