Role Overview
As a Biobank Associate – Operations, you will play a crucial role in supporting clinical biospecimen collection, processing, storage, and documentation across hospital sites. This hands-on position involves close coordination with clinicians, nursing staff, pathology teams, and internal biobank operations, ensuring smooth workflows and high-quality sample management.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate collection of blood, biopsy, and surgical samples
- Support informed consent processes
- Process and aliquot biospecimens (DNA, RNA, serum, plasma, PBMCs)
- Maintain accurate sample labeling, storage, and inventory
- Enter and manage patient and sample data in LIMS/databases
- Follow SOPs and support quality, ethics, and audit activities
- Coordinate with clinical and internal teams for smooth workflows
Eligibility Criteria
- M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology
- Freshers or 0-1 year experience
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Willingness to work in hospital environments
