Safety Database Specialist Responsibilities
As a Safety Database Specialist on the Clinical Safety team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and functionality of safety databases. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing routine system configurations in Argus and Argus J for products, studies, and licenses.
- Creating reports using Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) reporting tools.
- Resolving safety database-related issues to maintain system reliability.
- Preparing and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for safety system changes.
- Training new users on the Argus database as needed.
- Generating outputs for periodic safety reports such as DSUR, PSUR, and PBRER.
- Developing system support processes, SOPs, work instructions, and manuals.
- Supporting inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
Clinical Database Programmer Responsibilities
As a Clinical Database Programmer on the Biometrics team, you will contribute to the success of clinical trials by developing and maintaining high-quality databases. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, programming, validating, and maintaining clinical trial databases per company standards.
- Contributing to the company’s library of standard CDASH-compliant Case Report Forms (CRFs).
- Acting as the primary contact for the data management team, providing technical support and ensuring programming quality.
Qualifications
Safety Database Specialist
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, Business Informatics, or equivalent with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred:
- Experience in CRO, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Knowledge of study configurations in safety systems like Argus and Argus J.
- Proficiency in SQL and reporting platforms like OBIEE.
- Strong problem-solving skills and client service orientation.
Clinical Database Programmer
- Required: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of Rave study build experience in Pharma/Healthcare.
- Preferred:
- Custom function (C# programming) experience.
- Certified Medidata Rave Study Builder certification.
- Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
