Key Responsibilities

As a QC Manager, you will oversee critical quality control processes to ensure compliance and product excellence:

• Manage analysis of raw materials, packaging materials, intermediates, finished products, validation, and stability samples.
• Review and approve analytical results to support timely batch disposition and production timelines.
• Investigate deviations, Out-of-Specification (OOS), and Out-of-Trend (OOT) results, collaborating with cross-functional teams for analytical troubleshooting.
• Maintain and calibrate analytical instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR, Dissolution) and ensure computerized systems comply with regulations.
• Ensure adherence to cGMP, ICH guidelines, and global pharmacopeias through meticulous documentation.
• Lead regulatory inspections, customer audits, and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), risk assessments, and change controls.
• Supervise and train QC analysts, ensuring effective resource planning and workload management.
• Oversee stability programs, ensuring timely execution and reporting of protocols.
• Collaborate with R&D/ARD for method transfer and validation.
• Drive quality and efficiency through Quality by Design (QbD), Lean Lab principles, and digitization initiatives.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Education: M.Sc., B.Pharm, or M.Pharm in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience: 8–10 years in pharmaceutical quality control (formulation – OSD).
• Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of cGMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements (USFDA, MHRA, WHO).
  • Expertise in analytical techniques and instrumentation (HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR, Dissolution).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent documentation and communication abilities.
  • Mandatory experience in WHO-GMP and ROW audits; USFDA and MHRA audit experience preferred.
