Job Description

  • PhD in Biomaterials or closely related field
  • Proficiency in mammalian cell culture and analysis of polymer-cell interactions
  • Ability to conduct research independently
  • Track record of peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations
  • Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities
  • Understanding of UNSW’s objectives and values, as well as health and safety responsibilities

Job Description:
The Research Associate will contribute significantly to advancing biomaterials research, particularly in understanding polymer interactions with blood vessels. Responsibilities include collaborative projects with Synedgen Inc, scholarly research activities, writing scientific papers and reports, participation in conferences and workshops, assisting with student supervision, and engaging with biomedical researchers. The role reports to Professor Megan Lord and is a fixed-term contract lasting 7 months.
