Job Responsibilities

As a Research Trainee/Research Executive at SKBPL, you will:

  • Operate fermenters (5L to 100L) for microbial and probiotic fermentation processes.
  • Perform upstream processes like media sterilization and Clean-in-Place (CIP).
  • Execute downstream processes, including microfiltration, ultrafiltration, centrifugation, spray drying, and lyophilization.
  • Maintain accurate batch documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and optimize fermentation operations.
  • Contribute to research and development (R&D) projects focused on bacterial strains and probiotics.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality control in all laboratory activities.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should have:

  • Academic Background: B.Sc., M.Sc., B.Tech, or M.Tech in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant industry experience in fermentation operations. Freshers from reputed research or academic institutes are also encouraged to apply.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of fermentation processes, including media sterilization, CIP, and downstream techniques (microfiltration, ultrafiltration, centrifugation, spray drying, lyophilization).
  • Preferred Skills: Experience in probiotic fermentation or bacterial strain fermentation is a plus.
