Key Responsibilities
As a Research Scientist, you will:
- Drive innovation in biotechnology R&D, aligning with departmental and organizational goals.
- Conduct literature searches using global scientific databases.
- Develop microbial consortia for wastewater treatment.
- Design and execute purification experiments using chromatography, filtration, and other downstream methods.
- Scale up purification processes from lab to pilot stage.
- Collaborate with upstream, analytical, and formulation teams for process integration.
- Prepare technical reports, maintain detailed documentation, and safeguard intellectual property.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in protein purification and bioprocessing.
- Follow safety standards and contribute to laboratory upkeep.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related fields.
- Experience:
- Associate Research Scientist: 0–3 years (industrial downstream protein purification).
- Research Scientist: 3–5 years of hands-on industrial experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in chromatography (affinity, ion exchange, SEC).
- Familiarity with SDS-PAGE, HPLC, UV spectroscopy.
- Experience in process scale-up and tech transfer preferred.
- Core Competencies:
- Strong experimental and analytical skills.
- Clear communication and reporting ability.
