RegTrac, a leading global healthcare regulatory partner, is hiring a Regulatory Affairs Associate – Toxicology for its Chennai office. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of regulatory affairs, toxicology, and cosmetic safety compliance, making it an ideal choice for professionals passionate about ensuring product safety and driving regulatory excellence.
As part of RegTrac’s dynamic team, you’ll contribute to cosmetic product safety assessments, toxicological evaluations, and compliance with EU and USFDA frameworks, supporting innovation in MedTech and consumer products.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct toxicological safety assessments for cosmetic and consumer products.
- Review qualitative/quantitative formulations and raw material documentation.
- Analyze data from stability studies, microbial testing, SPF evaluations, and challenge tests.
- Prepare and author Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSRs), PIF, and other regulatory documents.
- Assess toxicological profiles of ingredients and flag potential risks.
- Ensure compliance with EU Regulation 1223/2009, MoCRA regulations, and international frameworks.
- Provide guidance on safety thresholds, exposure assessments, and formulation strategies.
- Stay updated on toxicology research and evolving regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in toxicology, pharmacy, medicine, biochemistry, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in cosmetic regulatory affairs and toxicology.
- Strong knowledge of toxicological testing methods and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven experience in executing toxicological studies for product development.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Inquisitive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented professional.
