Key Responsibilities of a Regulatory Affairs Associate
As a Promotion/Advertising Regulatory Affairs Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and streamlining material review processes. Here are the major accountabilities of the role:
- Centralized Knowledge Hub: Act as a go-to resource for Material Approval Process (MAP) guidance, assisting project owners, agencies, and reviewers.
- Collaboration with Brands: Work closely with brand teams to prioritize reviews and ensure submission readiness.
- MAP Review Meetings: Facilitate review meetings, ensuring compliance with processes and timelines.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare approval documentation, track submissions, and generate monthly metrics for senior management.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Review and edit materials to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Process Improvement: Identify and recommend systemic improvements to enhance efficiency.
Key Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in a Science-related field).
- 2-3 years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or a similar role.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (additional languages are a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using electronic review tools and documentation systems.
