Responsibilities

As a Pharmacovigilance Specialist at ProPharma, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of pharmaceutical products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Case Processing: Manage individual case safety reports (ICSRs) for clinical trials and post-marketed products, including coding with MedDRA.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Perform initial case-level assessments for expectedness and seriousness, ensuring compliance with global safety regulations.
  • Narrative Creation: Compose accurate and thorough medical narratives for adverse event cases.
  • Query Generation: Identify and generate queries for missing or unclear information to ensure data integrity.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Submit cases meeting expedited reporting criteria to regulatory authorities per internal guidelines and SOPs.
  • Follow-Up Activities: Identify and collect follow-up information for case management.
  • Training Support: Contribute to developing training materials and delivering training sessions.
  • Peer Review: Conduct quality checks on cases for consistency and accuracy.
  • Continuous Improvement: Highlight discrepancies and propose enhancements to improve processes.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (required). Advanced degree, RN, RPh, or PharmD (preferred).
