Job Description: Project Specialist I
Job Purpose
The Project Specialist I at Parexel supports project planning, reporting, and operational oversight to ensure timely and high-quality project deliverables. This role is primarily assigned to late-phase and Enterprise projects, with opportunities to assist in Biotech & Emerging clients’ projects, start-up, and close-out activities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Reporting
- Develop and maintain project plans in collaboration with Project Leaders (PLs) and Functional Leads (FLs).
- Generate project reports, compliance metrics, and operational insights for informed decision-making.
- Assist in financial reviews and budget tracking.
- Maintain project team lists, system accesses, and training compliance.
Project Initiation & Execution
- Customize project management tools and systems per SOPs.
- Support vendor selection, training setup, and TMF (Trial Master File) configuration.
- Monitor time tracking, pass-through costs, and resource allocation.
Project Integration & Closure
- Ensure consistency in project management plans and documentation.
- Facilitate project operational review meetings and follow-ups.
- Assist in system closures, document archiving, and sponsor handovers at project completion.
Skills & Qualifications
✅ Essential Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication (Intermediate/Advanced English for non-native speakers).
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Client-focused mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
✅ Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in project support, clinical research, or CRO environments is a plus.
