PI Industries Ltd, a leading name in agri-sciences and crop protection, is expanding its R&D Biologicals team in Hyderabad and invites applications for the position of Research Scientist – Formulation Development. Key Responsibilities
- Lead formulation development of biological products including microbial (bacterial/fungal), biochemical, and bio-stimulant formulations
- Design and optimize stable, efficacious, and scalable biological formulations for field application
- Conduct compatibility, stability (physical, chemical & biological), and performance studies
- Collaborate with fermentation, analytical, and regulatory teams for successful product development
- Develop SOPs, technology transfer documents, and support pilot/commercial-scale manufacturing
- Stay updated with global trends in biological formulation development and patent landscape
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Education: Masters or PhD in Agriculture (Microbiology / Plant Pathology / Biotechnology / Botany) from a reputed university/institute
- Experience: 8–10 years of hands-on experience in formulation development, specifically in biological formulations (microbial, biochemical, bio-stimulants)
- Prior exposure in Biologicals, Crop Protection, Seed Industry, or reputed Agricultural Universities/Institutes preferred
- Strong knowledge of formulation types (SC, WP, WG, OD, FS, etc.) for biological actives
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
