Job Overview
IQVIA is hiring a Safety Associate Trainee in Kolkata to support Lifecycle Safety operations. This role involves processing and managing safety data, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and contributing to pharmacovigilance activities.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Process and review safety data from multiple sources in compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA).
✔ Perform pharmacovigilance tasks, including:
- Collecting and tracking Adverse Events (AEs) and endpoint information.
- Determining initial/update status of safety reports.
- Database entry, medical coding (MedDRA, WHO-DD), and narrative writing.
- Supporting literature screening for safety reports.
✔ Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to regulatory authorities and clients.
✔ Work closely with senior team members to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
✔ Maintain 100% compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
✔ Participate in team meetings and provide updates on project progress.
Qualifications & Skills
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related fields.
✅ Basic knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacovigilance principles.
✅ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
✅ Attention to detail and ability to follow strict guidelines.
✅ Team player with good time management skills.
✅ Willingness to work in shifts (if required).
