Detailed Job Description

Job Title: Local Case Intake Advisor – Global Business Services

Location: Bangalore, India
Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage intake, processing, and reporting of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) for AstraZeneca products.
  • Act as the primary liaison between local Marketing Companies and GBS Pharmacovigilance (GBS-PS).
  • Ensure compliance with AstraZeneca policies, GxP, and national regulatory requirements.
  • Support Health Authority queries related to ICSRs and pharmacovigilance.
  • Contribute to Quality Management Systems (QMS), audits, and inspections.
  • Provide Patient Safety expertise for risk management and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate on Digital & Social Media pharmacovigilance activities.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Pharmacy, Medical, or Life Sciences
  • Strong pharmacovigilance knowledge (GVP, GxP)
  • Understanding of health authority regulations (FDA, EMA, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail
  • Experience in vendor management and cross-functional collaboration

Desirable Skills:

  • Medical knowledge in AstraZeneca’s therapeutic areas
  • Project management & audit experience
  • Conflict resolution & influencing skills
