Pfizer’s Drug Product Design (DPD) team is at the forefront of pharmaceutical innovation, developing advanced digital tools and computational models to enhance the design of high-quality drug dosage forms. These include tablets, capsules, multiparticulate beads, ointments, creams, and more, using both batch and continuous manufacturing processes.
As an Intern in the Process-Modeling team, you will work alongside experts to develop computational tools and system-level models that simulate drug release from controlled-release solid oral dosage forms. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in numerical methods, programming, mathematics, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing predictive models for drug release kinetics.
- Work on computational simulations to optimize drug formulation and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with scientists to integrate digital tools into drug product development.
- Conduct data analysis and validate model predictions against experimental data.
Qualifications & Skills:
M.pharm, M.Tech, Msc, Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, Computational Sciences, Mathematics or related fields
- Strong background in numerical methods, mathematics, and programming (Python, MATLAB, or similar).
- Experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and modeling software.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences or chemical engineering is a plus.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
