This role, located at Global Technology & Engineering (GTE), IITM-RP in Chennai, focuses on analytical research and development to support groundbreaking advancements in pharmaceutical science.

Key Responsibilities in the Job

As an Associate Scientist (Chem Analytical), your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Analytical Method Development:
    • Develop, validate, and transfer methods using UPLC, HPLC, and GC for APIs, intermediates, raw materials, and different dosage forms.
  2. Routine and Stability Studies:
    • Support lab trials, feasibility studies, lab-scale batches, and stability studies as per the organizational plan.
  3. Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to GxP standards, quality, and safety protocols in alignment with Pfizer’s policies and regulatory guidelines.
    • Maintain audit-ready and transferable data packages compliant with global standards.
  4. Collaboration:
    • Work with cross-functional teams, including regulatory sciences, supply chain, and manufacturing, to achieve project milestones on time.
  5. Technical and Instrumentation Proficiency:
    • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as UV, IR, and perform basic analytical techniques including pH measurement and titration.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Educational Requirements:

  • M.Sc. in Chemistry or M.Pharm.

Experience:

  • 0 to 3 years of experience in Analytical Research and Development.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of chromatographic techniques (UPLC, HPLC, GC).
  • Proficiency in spectroscopic techniques and other basic analytical methods.
  • Familiarity with oral solid dosage forms, liquids, semisolids, and APIs.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with diverse teams.
